Tango Festival D’Abbraccio - Montegrotto (Italy)

Then one waits sometimes sometimes until a minute, time (like says milonguero, the one who dances in a milonga, the place where one dances tango, “creole” waltz and milonga, another rhythm impossible to circumvent in tango balls) that the ball are put overall moving, time that one learns how to know the other, to speak, to listen to the other, to communicate, time for the music to pass from the ear to the head, then to gain the heart, the body and the soul and that the feet get going in the softness of a shared walk. The couple dances by sharing spaces, full and the vacuums ones, listening to the other’s body, collecting his/her emotion, anxiety, surprise. Partners almost do not look at themselves and do not speak. If they make so, it is that the language of the bodies has failed.
Secret dialog of questions and answers, sometimes request, sometimes dodging, sometimes requirement or reserve, decency or fear. Some says that to dance a tango it is necessary to be two : however two are not enough. In this communion, the couple dances accompanied by the music, attentive to the rhythm and the melody, and these are the feelings which transform it into movement.
They dance with the other and for the other. They dance with the other couples of whom they share energy. They dance with the ground which transmits the vibrations of the other dancers to them; they return to him with caresses the support that it gives them. In this subtle balance of relations, none must dominate. The egoist who dances alone deprives his partner of this union so much desired. The couple which is insulated will remain insulated, being thus deprived to receive the crowned fire of the other couples, just like it refuses to bring its own heat to the shared dance. Those whom do just exhibe themselves betrays their intimacy.
But when all these elements are joined together in an equal way, the communion is perfect. Mystery of the bodies in harmony, magic of the tango which leads them to the extasy, intense and total emotion, of the body and the heart. They would like this tango to last forever and that nothing comes to stop the enchantment.
When the last note dies out, they remain intertwined for a few moments more.
And when the experiment exceeded the usual one, the words are useless. They look at themselves almost with decency, even don’t , shaken, almost frightened, in front of such an emotion.
